The RVC 2-18 CDplus is a good choice fast bench top analysis. It is especially suitable for increasing the concentration of DNA/RNA and proteins and for similar preparatory work. A range of rotors is available which extends the specimen capacity, for example 72 × 1.5 ml reaction vessels. The design of the drive subsystem, which has no moving parts outside of the centrifuge chamber, is an outstanding feature of the product. A user-friendly display provides information about the current operating parameters in a format that is easy to understand. The pump ensures that the process continually runs as liquid vaporization and not as freeze drying, which would be the case with pumps that deliver a lower final vacuum and which would significantly increase processing time.
